Cookie policy
This page explains which cookies we use on this website and how you can change your choice.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Your browser sends it back to the site on later visits, so the site can remember things like your language.
Websites can also keep data in your browser in other ways. Local storage keeps data until you delete it. Session storage keeps data until you close the browser tab. In this policy, the word cookies covers all of these.
Cookie categories
Necessary cookies
These cookies make the site work. They remember your language and your cookie choice, keep your cart and quote list, and keep you signed in to your account. Some are only set when you use a feature, for example when you sign in. They are always on, because the site cannot provide these services without them.
Statistics cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors find us. Today we use them for one purpose only: to record where a visit came from if it leads to an order or a new customer account.
They record the type of source, for example a search engine, another website or a campaign link. They also record the referring address, campaign details in the link, the first page and start time of the visit, the number of pages viewed and visits made, and your browser and device type. If you place an order, this information is saved with the order in our shop system. If you create a customer account, it is also saved with your account. The feature is part of WooCommerce, the shop software we use, and runs on our own website.
We set statistics cookies only after you agree.
Marketing cookies
We do not use marketing or advertising cookies. If we add them later, they will appear as a separate choice in your cookie settings and stay off until you agree.
Legal basis
Under EU law, a website needs your consent to store or read information on your device. The main exception is information that is strictly necessary for a service you explicitly asked for. This rule comes from Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC). In Germany it is set out in § 25 of the TDDDG. Where optional cookies involve personal data, your consent is also our legal basis for that processing under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
We apply these rules to every visitor, wherever you are. Our privacy policy explains how we process personal data and which rights you have.
Cookies on this site
The table below lists every cookie and storage item on this site, who sets it, what it does and how long it stays. It comes from the same list as our cookie settings. An asterisk in a name stands for a code that the software adds to the name.
Giving and withdrawing consent
On your first visit, a banner asks for your choice. Accept all turns on all optional cookies. Reject all keeps only the necessary ones. Choose lets you decide for each category. The site works the same way whichever option you pick. Until you decide, we set only necessary cookies.
We keep your choice for 180 days. After that, or if you delete your cookies, the banner asks again.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it. Use the button below or the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. When you withdraw consent for statistics cookies, we delete them from your browser. This does not affect anything we did with your consent before.
Browser settings
Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies and other site data. You find these options in the privacy settings of your browser. Necessary cookies cannot be turned off in our cookie settings, but you can block them in your browser. If you do, the cart, the quote list and your account will not work.
Global Privacy Control
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a signal that your browser can send to tell websites that you do not want your personal data sold or shared. If your browser sends it, we treat it as a refusal of marketing cookies. Accept all then turns on statistics cookies only.
Cookies from other companies
No other company sets cookies on this site today. We do not use outside analytics, advertising, social media or video services. Every cookie in the table comes from our own website.
If we add a service from another company later, such as an analytics tool or a payment provider, we will list its cookies here and ask for your consent where the law requires it. A payment provider may set its own cookies on its own payment page. Its own cookie policy applies there.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies on the site change. The date at the end of this page shows the latest version. If a change needs a new decision from you, the banner asks again.
Contact
The company that runs this website is responsible for these cookies. Its name and address are in our legal notice. For questions about cookies, use our contact page.
